Physical Education
Physical Education at Shipton Bellinger is more than just sports. We believe that "the traditions and cultural reference points associated with sport and physical activity are part of our shared heritage." Our curriculum is built on the understanding that those children who develop competence to excel in a broad range of physical activities, are physically active for sustained periods of time and engage in competitive sports will lead healthy, active lives.
Our Golden Thread of Community underpins our PE curriculum. Through our work with other schools and teams, we build strong community links and are able to demonstrate our skills in a wide variety of contexts.
Our PE curriculum is supported by ActiveMe 360 - our staff receive high quality PE coaching to ensure that the quality of teaching and learning is sharply focussed with high expectations. We celebrate and are inspired by skilled sports people through our Golden Thread of Heroes.
