Reception Baseline Information
The Reception Baseline Assessment (RBA) is an interactive assessment for children starting reception class, designed to measure their early literacy, communication, language, and mathematics skills. The RBA provides a starting point for measuing progress between reception and yaer 6, helping parents understand how well schools support their children. All children complete the assessment within the first 6 weeks of starting reception. It is not a judgment or pressure test; children cannot past or fail.
Paretns do not need to prepare their child for the assessment as it is designed to be inclusive and accessible for all. For more detailed information, you can refer to the official documents from the Standards and Testing Agency.
