Welcome to Shipton Bellinger Primary School
A very warm welcome to Shipton Bellinger Primary School.
We are a small village primary school located in the heart of a military community.
Located close to Tidworth, the historical town of Salisbury and Stonehenge; coupled with our extensive school grounds, we have a vast selection of amenities on our doorstep to inspire our curriculum. We encourage our children to explore, take risks and learn from experiences on offer; building strong foundations for a life-long love of learning and allowing our children to develop their natural talents.
Our dedicated and talented staff nurture children as individuals and it is our positive relationships with pupils and parents that makes us who we are - an achieving, smiling, family school.
If this is your first visit to our website we trust it gives you a flavour of what we offer. If you would like more information or would like to arrange an appointment to visit in person please feel free to give the school office a call, they will be very happy to help you.
Local Community
Groups of children often explore the village environment as part of their topic work and local visitors share their knowledge of the locality. Several of our neighbours help in the school with gardening, worship and baking. We welcome a wide range of visitors.
We have strong links with the services, including having been adopted by the Local REME BN who help us with hands-on projects in the school and grounds. Head over to our Service Families page to explore this partnership further.
Junior children swim at Tidworth Leisure Centre and we belong to the Rural Schools Group where we have links with schools at Kimpton, Appleshaw, Amport, Grateley and Abbots Ann. The Year 6 teacher liaises with John Hanson and Wellington and other secondary schools, and pupils enjoy an induction day prior to their transfer.
We invite outside agencies to work with our children and have links with Andover Rugby Club for tag rugby, Andover Cricket Club and the Mountbatten Sports Partnership. We have a School Sports Co-ordinator who organises events for children both in school and in the wider community.
