“Parents have a very high opinion of the school”. – OFSTED 2003
At Shipton Bellinger Primary School we believe it is vital that parents and teachers work together for the good of our children. Whether you can come into school regularly and work alongside the staff or whether you just want to share in your own child’s education, we feel that it is important for you to know of all the opportunities we provide for parents to become involved in school.
Here are some of the ways we create a partnership with parents:
Friends of Shipton Bellinger School parents association – we encourage parents to get involved in enriching their children’s school experience.
Parents Evenings - when parents meet teachers for information on the curriculum, school activities and their children’s progress. Please see calendar of events
School Newsletters – Issued monthly the newsletter provides parents with full coverage of current news with key dates and detail about forthcoming events.
Reports. – We report each year to you about your child’s progress across the curriculum and including personal and social development. Never hesitate to contact school about anything that concerns your child during the school year.
Regular contact through homework letters from your child’s class.
Letters telephone calls and visits are always welcome.
Special Occasions
Parents are invited into school to share in some assemblies and special celebrations such as Christmas and Leavers Assembly. We also plan concerts and plays to which parents, Governors and members of our local community are invited.
